Welcome to the Ascarus world!

Our server is one among many, but unique among all! We will go over the special characteristics of Ascarus. Even though our server is based on the 8.6 version, we still offer our players our own additional features. So, what is new in our server? What is custom? What makes Ascarus… Ascarus?

• 1. Custom cities
  We have all the usual cities available and accessible to players. We also offer additional, custom cities for you to explore, live in and hunt at. Some cities you may be familiar with and some are completely customized. You can travel to most of these cities by boat or via teleports, improving travel time.
  • 1.1 Gengia
    A city known for its dragon spawns south of it. You can also find plenty of other monsters around the city, mostly to the south, if you keep searching. The depot is quite close to the boat, for quick mobility.
    
  
  
  • 1.2 Oken
    Another city located in a huge island is this one. You can find several spawns east of the city, so feel free to explore.
    
  
  
  • 1.3 Pyre
    A medium-sized town built in a fortress, this place offers you more spawns to explore east of town. We hope you get in touch with your adventurer’s spirit!
    
  
  
  • 1.4 Incheon
    One of our own custom cities, it’s composed of a huge town with several custom spawns around it. You can also find boss monsters and team quests around the city. Be sure to grab your own house in it, if you’re looking for something new!
    
  
  
  • 1.5 Roshamuul
    Roshamuul is the name of an island located east of Darashia. It is full of old ruins and inhabited by unholy, demonic creatures.Among the notable features are an old bridge, and a massive wall. Roshamuul is divided into an upper and a lower half by a wall.
    
  
  
  • 1.6 Asylum
    Asylum is a city that has been added at the start of Ascarus. This city is especially good for the early levels, With slimes in the sewers, Spiders till Giant Spiders north west of the city, North of the Spider cave are Hydra's with a shop nearby, for quick refilling. There is also a huge Grim Reaper spawn north west of the city.
    
  
  
  • 1.7 Vesuvia
    Vesuvia is one of the newer cities on Ascas.us. This city has a few features to offer, Such as newly added quests, Bosses around the city to hunt and solo hunting places as well.
    
  
  
  • 1.8 Rookgaard
    Rookgaard used to be the place where it all began, however, on Ascarus things are a little different. Rookgaard is the place to go when you want to teamhunt several bosses, but be careful, other teams might plan to do the same thing.
    
  
  
  • 1.9 Hellrook
    Hellrook is an upgraded version of Rookgaard. This city has no houses, and can only be accessed by players that are level 350+. The bosses there are very good to teamhunt, the loot is good and the EXP is amazing.
    
  
  
  • 1.10 VIP Town
    Another one of our custom cities. To access this place, you must first have VIP days in your account, which can be bought in our online shop or from players with VIP Medals. In this town, you will find shortcuts to most of the already popular standard quests, and also to our own custom quests & spawns.
    
  
  
• 2. VIP
  What is VIP and its benefits? Having VIP days in your account grants you access to the VIP city. In it, you will find shortcuts to most of the known standard quests and spawns. You will also be able to enter VIP spawns and quests, find shortcuts to cities and event rooms, along with hidden places for you to explore and hunt in! VIP status also lets you access the VIP room in the Events island. Here is an inside view of some exclusive VIP benefits:
  
  
  • 2.1 Venom
    Once entering the teleport in VIP city, you will be teleported to the island where Venom lives, this boss looks easy to beat, but dont be fooled by its speed and paralysation. You will be teleported to a random place on the island, which could mean that you have to face him without your team untill they arrive.
    
  
  
  • 2.2 Boss Room
    An event room that will spawn 1-2 bosses at a time on a constant basis. There is a great variety on the boss monsters that can spawn, so make sure you prepare yourself.
    
  
  
  • 2.3 Custom Quests
    For the custom quests on the server are a few requirements. On ascarus there are over 90 achievements and over 160 achievement points. To enter some of these quests could require a certain level, on Ascarus most quests recommend level 300+.
    
    
    
  • 2.4 Custom Spawns
    Many VIP spawns can be found in the same building of the quest teleports. You can also find them by exploring the city. You will surely find hidden spawns by exploring!
    
    
    
    
• 3. Events
  Players have a variety of events to choose from. Some of the events are always accessible, like Pacman, Snake, Bomberman, Frodo Room, Boss Room, and our Casino. Some of the events are time-based, and a teleport to them will appear at the Events island on a regular basis. Last Man Standing, Zombie, Deathmatch and Capture The Flag fit into this category. Please be aware that multi-clienting in these events is against our rules.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• 4. Team Quests
  There are some quests that can only be done with the organization of many different players in order to defeat monsters and other difficulties you may be faced with. Such quests will give you premium items that tend to be the best weapons in the server. Notice that these items cannot be bought in the online shop.
  
  
  


• 5. Trainers
  Players can train their skills using the public trainers - Please do not train your magic level in public to avoid spell clogging.
  
  


• 6. Channels
  Our server has its own custom chat channels, and some are a mixture of previously known channels. Please respect and follow our rules when using them.
  • 6.1. Loot
    This is the only channel that shows you the loot of monsters you or your party members kill.
  • 6.2. Deaths
    You can see all the latest deaths in Ascarus here, who died and at what level, and who or what killed them.
  • 6.3. Tasks
    Any monster killing task you begin, from any NPC, can be controlled and reviewed here.
  • 6.4. Advertisement
    Use this channel to sell/buy items, to gather teams for quests or player killing, to recruit for your guilds, and anything else you need to advertise. This is also the channel where you can see recently added items to the Item Market
  • 6.5. Help
    If you need help, have questions, doubts or concerns of any kind, please use this channel. Staff members and experienced players can help you here.
  • 6.6. Game-chat
    Here you can chit-chat with your fellow players about pretty much anything, participate in events held by staff or meme around all you want!


• 7. AI Bosses
  We offer a variety of AI bosses. AI bosses means that everyone that hits the boss for a certain amount of damage, they will be rewarded with items available from that boss. However the good items are unique, which mean that only 1 player gets it, which will be a dice roll between the 5 highest damage dealers will all have a chance for that unique item.
  • 7.1 Incheus
    Incheus is a boss that is located in Incheon. This is an interesting boss to defeat for paladins, since the best paladin weapon in the game is dropped there with a very high chance.
    
  • 7.2 Darkness
    Darkness is a boss that has a chance to spawn after the Void Base is filled. This is an interesting boss to defeat because it has a high chance of dropping the best shield in the game. Darkness spawns in the Ankrahmun desert.
    
  • 7.3 Castiel
    Castiel is a boss that has a chance to spawn after the Void Base is filled. This boss can drop some of the best items in the game, with a low chance. The spawn location is in Hellrook, which is accessible by players of level 350 or higher.
    
  • 7.4 The Mad King
    The Mad King is a boss located in the Game of Thrones area. The Mad King is a great boss to kill with your friends, it will reward you with a lot of experience and a high chance on rare items.
    
  • 7.5 Night King
    Night King is a boss that has a chance to spawn after the Void Base is filled. This is an interesting boss to defeat because it has a high chance of dropping rare items. Night King will spawn in Game of Thrones area.
    
  • 7.6 Ferumbras
    Ferumbras is a boss located in his own citadel in Goroma and can spawn at any time through a raid. Don't be fooled, because Ferumbras on Ascarus is stronger than it's original self. The loot and the exp are very interesting, depending on the amount of people.
    
  • 7.7 Ghazbaran
    Ghazbaran is a boss located in the Formorgar Mines and can spawn at any time through a raid. Ghazbaran is a hard hitting boss that should not be underestimated, but the rewards in EXP and loot are worth it.
    
  • 7.8 Morgaroth
    Morgaroth is a boss located in the depths of Goroma's volcano and can spawn at any time through a raid. Morgaroth is a hard hitting defensive boss that is very tough to kill. It is resistant to almost all elements, so it will take a long time to kill. The loot and the EXP make it worthwhile, though.
    
  • 7.9 Orshabaal
    Orshabaal is a boss located North of Edron near the Dragon Lair in the stone circle and can spawn at any time through a raid. This boss is not as easy as its original self. The loot and the EXP are good.
    
  • 7.10 Gaz'haragoth
    Gaz'haragoth is a boss located in Roshamuul's prison and can spawn at any time through a raid. Gaz'haragoth is a very hard boss to kill, it will require alot of players working together to defeat it. The reward really is worth it, since it drops two of the best equipment pieces in the game with a high chance.
    
  • 7.11 Omrafir
    Omrafir is a boss located in Roshamuul's prison and can spawn at any time through a raid. Omrafir is a different kind of boss, there are many ways to kill it. Make sure the knight does not face tank it. The loot and the exp are both very good with a low chance of getting the good items.
    
  • 7.12 Party Animal
    Party Animal is a boss like no other. The rewards are almost always amazing, and everyone gets a piece of it. It is a very fast ranged attacker, so trapping it would be the best strategy.
    


• 8. Addons
  Addons are a big part of Ascarus. To make sure not everyone uses the same addons because the addon bonus on that particular addon is better than others, Ascarus provides the possibility to gain a bonus on the amount of addons you collect. There are several ways to obtain addons.
  • 8.1 Addon NPC
    Most of the addons are available through the Addon Maker NPC. You will have to fullfil certain tasks or exchange a collection of specific items in order to receive these addons.
    
    
  • 8.2 Addon dolls
    Addon dolls are available to loot in game or bought through the shop. Several bosses around the server have a chance of dropping an addon doll.
    
  • 8.3 Premium shop
    You can also buy addons and outfits with premium points through our shop. Not all addons and outfits can be bought this way, though.


• 9. Tasks
  Different NPC’s can give you different tasks to complete, in order to receive rewards. The rewards vary between the NPC's.
  • 9.1 Daily Tasks
    Our players can complete hunting tasks every 24 hours from the Daily Huntsman (found in the depot area of every major city). If you manage to kill the required monsters and report back, you will be awarded with gold, and starting from level 70, you will also get a mystery gift for completing tasks. Mystery gifts, if opened, have a chance to give you some items from our shop, so make sure you complete daily tasks everyday to get more rewards!

  • 9.2 Staged Tasks
    The NPC TGYoshi has many tasks for you to complete! For every task you finish, you gradually obtain more game tokens and experience, which can be used to enter exclusive spawns and quests, as well as be traded for premium points in game. You will also earn a place in our highscores

• 10. Leveling up!
  To get your character started, here are a few tips on where to level up according to your vocation and levels! Please, notice that these are suggestions and you are free to choose where to raise your characters.
  For all vocations, we recommend doing the beginner quest in Mount Sternum (Cyclops mountain, north-east of Thais)!
  • 10.1 Sorcerer
    Sorcerers, being the offensive spells magicians, are highly recommended to hunt in crowded monster spawns as they reach higher levels.
    • 10.1.1 Levels 8-20
      As your level is low, it is recommended you hunt in the sewers of Thais for quick access, however every city has their special features. Personally, I would avoid Thais, because that is where most people go. Be creative!
    • 10.1.2 Levels 21-50
      Go down one more floor in the Thais sewers to hunt for Orcs, or access through the Ancient Temple exit, west of the north gate in Thais. The experience rate will be faster. However you can be an adventurer and take risks on stronger creatures aswell, the lower level you are, the higher your XP rate is. Killing a stronger creature benefits you, take advantage of your XP rate.
    • 10.1.3 Levels 51-100
      You can hunt Cyclopses south of Thais, or take a look at Asylum town, which has some lower level spawns in close proximity. You can switch to Frost Dragons on higher levels and use sudden death (SD) runes to kill them faster.
    • 10.1.4 Levels 101-200
      Hunting dragons in Pyre will usually give you a great experience boost in this stage. Wyrms or Quaras are also a good choice if you use ultimate spells against multiple monsters.
    • 10.1.5 Levels 201-300
      Using area spells based on energy/fire will be very useful if you hunt Serpent Spawns and/or Hydras at this stage. They don’t hit very hard and you get a reasonable experience rate. Using SD's to kill Warlocks/Infernalists is another option. There is also a possibility to visit Rookgaard. Multiple bosses hide here and if you can gather a few players, together you can face them.
    • 10.1.6 Levels 301-400
      At this stage, your level is high enough to survive a few strong attacks from normal monsters. You can carefully hunt grim reapers, and also Medusas and Defilers, with ultimate explosion (UE) spells (Hell’s Core, Rage of the Skies), which, as a sorcerer, have a high damage effect against these monsters. Drefia, Vesuvia, VIP Town, these places all have good Grim Reaper spawns. At this level you can also explore quests and at level 350+ a new place opens up, called Hellrook. This is an upgraded version of Rookgaard with stronger bosses to kill.
    • 10.1.7 Levels 401-500
      With high enough HP now, you can go for more extreme hunting grounds with lots of monsters to damage with spells, such as Deeper Banuta, VIP Medusas (careful with other player's attacks!), larger Grim Reaper spawns, Defilers, and others. You can also safely start to hunt boss monsters as a team, in Rookgaard, the Boss Room, and other places.
    • 10.1.8 Levels 501+
      From this stage forward, it’s recommended to hunt bosses for good experience and/or hunt at League of Legends (LoL) island, for levels 500+. Make sure you always have a team for these hunts. These are the most known and used ways to level up at this range.
  
  
  • 10.2 Druid
    Druids have similarities to sorcerers, but their damage spells are different, so they will have minor differences to sorcerers to make the best out of their own spells. Druids are more supportive.
    • 10.2.1 Levels 8-20
      As your level is low, it is recommended you hunt in the sewers of Thais, for Rats, Cave Rats, and Rotworms. But just like a sorcerer, it will be very crowded in Thais, so using different cities could pay off.
    • 10.2.2 Levels 21-50
      Go down one more floor in the Thais sewers to hunt for Orcs, or access through the Ancient Temple exit, west of the north gate in Thais. The experience rate will be faster. Don't forget to train your magic level while you hunt.
    • 10.2.3 Levels 51-100
      You can hunt Cyclopses south of Thais, or take a trip to Mount Sternum, north-east of Thais. You can switch to Frost Dragons on higher levels and use SD's to kill them faster. At this level, everything you kill is a risk. However, shooting SD's at creatures while keeping your distance could pay off, don't forget that the lower level you are, the higher your experience rate will be.
    • 10.2.4 Levels 101-200
      Dragons/Dragon Lords are the best choice at this point. Using the ice UE will quickly kill them and will level you up fast. Quickest way to find them is in Pyre or Incheon.
    • 10.2.5 Levels 201-300
      Hellfire Fighters are among the best HP to exp ratio in this range. Hellspawns and Behemoths are also a good choice. Taking a team towards Rookgaard to teamhunt the weaker bosses is also a nice way to level up.
    • 10.2.6 Levels 301-400
      Hunting demons with ice spells, or Defilers/Dragon Lords in the super spawns, or Pits of Inferno are all good picks to hunt as a Druid. In Asylum town there is a Grim Reaper spawn, above the Grim Reapers are custom creatures called Stray Spirits, they're specifically made to hunt for mages, as they are weak to their spells' elements.
    • 10.2.7 Levels 401-500
      Deeper Banuta is a reasonably good place to UE hunt with your druid. More extreme Hellfire Fighter spawns are also viable at this stage, including the Inquisition quest first seal path. Boss hunting should be relatively easy to arrange for a druid, as they are useful to heal knights in team hunts.
    • 10.2.8 Levels 501+
      Hunting bosses and going on team hunts at LoL Island are the best choices from this level range onward. You can stair jump the minions that spawn there with UEs.
  
  
  • 10.3 Knight
    Knights can hunt properly only from close range, unlike the other vocations, so avoid fighting monsters that attack you from a distance too often, specially at high levels. The higher level you get, the better and easier you will be able to block monster crowds.
    • 10.3.1 Levels 8-20
      As your level is low, it is recommended you hunt in the sewers of Thais, for rats, cave rats, and rotworms.
    • 10.3.2 Levels 21-50
      Go down one more floor in the Thais sewers to hunt for Orcs, or access through the Ancient Temple exit, west of the north gate in Thais. The experience rate will be faster. You could also risk it and go for Dragons already.
    • 10.3.3 Levels 51-100
      You can hunt Cyclopses south of Thais, or take a trip to Mount Sternum, north-east of Thais. Dragons are also a possibility, or even Defilers if you really want to risk it.
    • 10.3.4 Levels 101-200
      Focus on killing Dragons until the latter half of this stage, and then you can also hunt Dragon Lords, in Pyre, Thais, Venore or Incheon Dragon lairs. Giant spiders in Plains of Havoc and Yalahar quarters are good alternatives.
    • 10.3.5 Levels 201-300
      Carefully and gradually killing Hydras and Serpent Spawns is the way to go. Hunting Furies in Incheon, VIP and hidden spawns is a great choice as well for leveling and making money. Nightmares and Sea Serpents can be good too. Carefully killing Medusas is also an option. Teamhunting bosses is the best way to level, you just have to depend on friends.
    • 10.3.6 Levels 301-400
      You can safely start hunting Medusas now, without any issues. Demons in big spawns and Grim Reapers are great to level up with at this stage, and you can also try the Makara spawn below Captain Ahab's boat in Svargrond after finishing the access quest.
    • 10.3.7 Levels 401-500
      Defilers in Inquisition quest, big Grim Reaper spawns, Plaguesmiths and Hellhounds are good examples of what to hunt at these levels. You can tank almost anything closing in to 500.
    • 10.3.8 Levels 501+
      Knights are essential at this stage to block bosses in team hunts and quest spawns. They can exp share in LoL Island hunts with other mages, helping to clear the path. They can also try extreme hunting grounds of Hellhounds and Grim Reapers, in the hidden VIP spawn.
  
  
  • 10.4 Paladin
    Paladins attack from a distance but they can also fight from close range easily. This mixed way of hunting makes them waste fewer supplies during hunts.
    • 10.4.1 Levels 8-20
      As your level is low, it is recommended you hunt in the sewers of Thais, for rats, cave rats, and rotworms.
    • 10.4.2 Levels 21-50
      Go down one more floor in the Thais sewers to hunt for Orcs, or access through the Ancient Temple exit, west of the north gate in Thais. The experience rate will be faster. Paladins above level 30 could slowly start killing Dragons already.
    • 10.4.3 Levels 51-100
      Dragon Lords and Frost Dragons are very good options for paladins above level 50, just make sure you dont get too many on you.
    • 10.4.4 Levels 101-200
      Above level 100 Paladins have it easy, they're tanky enough for most creatures and have enough damage to kill the creatures fast. Frost Dragons and Hydras are creatures you should kill between these levels, they're also good for loot, as they drop items you can sell, in to afford the supplies for the next hunt.
    • 10.4.5 Levels 201-300
      Defilers, Medusas and slowly Grim Reapers are the creatures you want to hunt.
    • 10.4.6 Levels 301-400
      Grim Reapers are still tough, especially if you have to face more than 4, but your holy spells will do alot of damage.
    • 10.4.7 Levels 401-500
      After level 400 you can start hunting Grim Reapers more safely. Undead Dragons and Ghastly Dragons are also possibilities.
    • 10.4.8 Levels 501+
      After level 500 you're still focussing on Grim Reapers, you can also check out LoL island and hunt the custom creatures there.
